Here we have a custom, hand forged beer tap handle. This tap handle was hand forged with a hammer and anvil. The beer tap handle started as an 8" long piece of 3/4" square stock steel. It was then drawn and tapered to a long point. I then hand punched and drifted a 3/4" round hole into the tap handle. The taper was then heated back up and bent around and pushed through the hole. The beer tap handle is then drilled and tapped for all standard beer tap faucets. The tap handle is then wire brushed and heated to a dull, black heat at which point a wax is applied to seal the tap handle and give it its black appearance.
This tap handle features several different blacksmithing techniques. It really serves as a unique and functional piece of art.
