Hand forged metal bowl made by Seth. These bowls are repurposed from drop cuts of diamond plate steel that i get from a local steel supplier. Meaning that these are the discarded pieces from other projects that they are cutting out. Therefore each bowl has a small cut starting line near the edge of the bowl. This line is easily seen in the close up photos.
Each bowl starts as a 6" disc and is heated inside of my forge. Once heated i form the shape of the bowl using a hammer and a bowl depression in my swage block. Each bowl is coated with a wax that is applied at a black heat. This adds a protective finish to the bowl. This wax is NOT FOOD GRADE! These bowls are not meant for any type of food.
Forged bowls make a perfect edc tray for your keys, wallet, or as a nice display piece.
Currently have 2 styles available- The as forged finish and a brushed finish. The as forged metal bowl has a nice dark patina while the brushed finish is brighter, almost shiny metal look with some scale still on the bowl.
